How do I find out more about each tour, and how do I book?

Image
At present I offer five different tours of some of Brittany's many amazing archaeological sites. To find out more about each tour just select each one from the navigation menu. When you have found a tour you like the look of there are various ways you can book. The first way to book is to contact me via the enquiries form on these pages . Give me the details of your party, the date and the tour you would like and I will get back to you to confirm price and payment information. Bookings made this way are normally paid for by bank transfer at least seven days in advance of your tour. (You can find a price guide with each set of tour details). Parties who wish to book "last minute" (ie within seven days of their desired tour date) will need to pay in cash at the commencement of the tour. Here are some other ways to book;- You can find three of my tours listed on Airbnb Experiences with dates scheduled right throughout the year. Booking with Airbnb is very simple and they h

Do you own an archaeo-dog?

Image
An archaeo-dog is a dog with an owner who is fanatical about prehistoric sites and archaeology and I am frequently asked if dogs are welcome on my tours.   We all know that dogs are part of the family so, if you are booking a private party, well-behaved archaeo-dogs are very welcome.    If you are making a standard booking (ie NOT private) please check first if you wish to bring your dog along as other guests may object (or there may already be an archaeo-dog on the tour).

NEW! Tours now bookable through Viator

For a range of selected dates in July, August and September, my Pink Granite Coast tour can now be booked through Viator, (part of Tripadvisor). Follow the link for more details. https://www.viator.com/tours/Brittany/Prehistory-of-the-Pink-Granite-Coast/d21942-405310P1 As always tours can also be booked direct with me or through Airbnb. However you choose to book, I really look forward to taking you on a journey through our distant past.

Paul, a resident of Brittany, joined me for the Locminé Loop tour on a very bright and sunny Monday afternoon in April 2023. Here's what he had to say...   "Just had a fantastic tour with Time Trails.   This is by a long stretch the best I’ve been on and I could not have had a better experience gaining a fascinating insight to the mysterious neolithic past in Brittany.    Our guide Phil is a professional archeologist who REALLY does know his stuff having studied and worked with many famous archeologists. He has even dug at Stonehenge.    I cant recommend this tour highly enough and as a plus it’s very reasonably priced!" Paul, Brittany.

Six Recommended Places to Stay

I often receive messages asking about great places to stay when taking a Timetrails tour and over the last two years I've featured some lovely places. Owing to the way these pages work some of my earlier recommendations have vanished into the deep distant past and you may have missed them. I am therefore bringing my favourite six recommendations together so you can see them all in one place. If you simply need Bed and Breakfast accommodation, look at the chambres d’h ôtes or maison d’h ôtes. For a self-catering holiday rental, look at the Gites So, here goes (and they're in no particular order) 1) La Charbonniére Mohon La Charbonniére Mohon - is a charming and comfortable house offering chambres d’h ôtes (B&B) in countryside close to the village of Mohon. Set on the eastern edge of Lanou é e forest in central Brittany, you'll be sure of a friendly welcome from your host, Cazzie.   La Charbonniére is very cosy, offering a range of twin and double, en-suite accomm
